BABY STEPS: IT'S ALL ABOUT FAMILY
MISSION STATEMENTBaby Steps Therapy is a nonprofit clinical practice dedicated to individualized therapy and family education to help every child achieve his or her greatest potential.
A CARING, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Baby Steps Therapy is a nonprofit organization (501(c)(3)) providing services in a clinic setting. We are a client-centered company that uses an interdisciplinary approach combined with family input to determine the best course for each child’s success. Our interdisciplinary approach involves the combined input and expertise of our occupational, physical and speech therapists and educational psychologists.
Our therapists are committed to delivering the highest quality of care. Baby Steps therapists educate and include family members in treatment regimens. This allows therapy to extend beyond clinical sessions for reinforcement and practice at home.
Specialty areas include:
- Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing Disorder
- Autistic Disorder
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Development delays
- Learning challenges and disabilities
- Language difficulties and delays
- Phonological processes and articulation disorders
Occupational therapist Tara Delaney founded Baby Steps in Austin in 1998 and reestablished it in Sacramento in 2002. The Baby Steps Therapy clinic opened in 2008.
